Get to Know Us
CAPE (empower Community to Advocate, Peer-support, and Educate for youth mental health) was founded in August 2023 under the supervision of Chinese Community Center of the Capital Region in New York State. CAPE is a youth-centered project that aims to reduce stigma around mental illnesses and promote awareness and knowledge of mental health among AAPI youth and their families. Our peer-based support services provide culturally responsive approaches to mental healing through art and music therapy. Mental health resources and practices can also be offered by professionals and organizations.
